Code Geass 23: Why God!? Why!?

I am in awe. There are no words for it. I thought the last episode was good but this one completely blows it out of the water. Though probably last in with my thoughts (sadly I sleep during the times when episodes are usually released), here they are anyways. Let’s start with the most important one:

M… Moe!

How moe is Kaguya? Really? I and some others really think so… Her voice has changed here to become utterly cute compared to the other times she has had dialogue. Hopefully she plays more of a role in later episodes. And now with the silver lining of the episode out of the way, let’s begin with the angst that dominated the rest of the episode.

NOES! T__T

NOES! It can’t be. I hoped against everything that this wouldn’t be the outcome but I was only just fooling myself. Zero shooting her and her death later was made just that more emotional because of it, I believe. Euphie, was one of my more favourite characters and during this episode and the last, she has lost everything; her will, her status and her life. A harsh moment to me, is as she is dying, asking Suzaku about how her plan went and he lied to her telling her that they loved it, whereas the scene keeps on cutting back to the Zero using her as a symbol for a call to arms to fight Britainia and the Japanese are calling her ‘bad things’.

Duh Duh DUUUUUN!

Is it correct to say, ‘More shit has hit the fan!’? VV has appeared just after Euphie’s death to Suzaku. Plot twist indeed, that is probably starting the rumour mills and the theories already. Will Suzaku be the third Geass user (god, that sounded stupid)? I don’t know but I get this feeling that CC and VV won’t be on good terms when and if they meet. Code Geass has been throwing us loads and loads of plot twists especially in the last few episodes and this is by far one of the more intriguing one as nothing more is mentioned on it.

I had freaky ninja skills before and now I am an avenger. All I need now is an eye based power (cough*geass*cough) and I’ll be perfectly set to kill a certain someone….

What a lot of people believe (I think) is that Suzaku knows now, who Zero is. His whole vendetta thing could be solely aimed for Lelouch. I always wonder as well, how he would react if he knew about Lelouch’s Geass as it’s not that hard to work out that Euphie’s 180 personality the last episode was Lelouch’s fault, and one would think it was intentional. Huge amounts of Drama definitely in the next episode and possibly over the next season as well to come of this, me thinks.

Awwwwwwww…..

This scene was one of my favourites. Lelouch is sort of having a breakdown from what he’s done. It was also a very nice moment for LuluCC shippers (like me). This mysterious contract, I’m still waiting on more of it to be revealed. The one big thing is what does she get from this contract. Wierdness continues as it is revealed that the mysterious person she seems to be talking to when she is alone seems to be Lelouch’s mother.

Intrigue continues when Orange-kun seems to have broken out of his test tube and with a quick hello from the half terminator like Jeremiah, we are cut off. I suspect he will be a much bigger player in the second season probably or even in the next two episodes.

Who’s brilliant idea was it to build Tokyo like an underground parking lot!?

So it all lead down to this, an attack on Tokyo. What started off as simple small battle with a slight laid back-ness in the first few episodes have snowballed into truly a war. As CC says, it’s going to probably be on a worldwide scale. Although the thing with Euphie was unfortunate, Lelouch was quite smart (and heartlessly ruthless) to use that to his advantage. His chances of truly destroying Britainia is getting better and better.

Teh Full Circle….

And really, at the end of the episode, I felt it really came full circle. Back to Lelouch’s true goal as was seen from the end of the first episode. But here is truly where the angst begins: our’s. So as any informed Geass fan will know, the next two episodes come out in the summer. All the way in summer D: . But thankfully, The scheduled Geass ends just as the Spring Line Up takes off meaning I shall be drowning my sorrows at waiting by piling on my anime. Hopefully that will placate me XD

I think I got the finer points of the episode, but if I didn’t there are a huge amount more blogs who blogged this episode. Try RunningKid’s for one and random curiosity for another

Damn it, what were they thinking making us wait that long!

I don’t know T___T If they didn’t waste time with those recap episodes, we would be perfectly fine with seeing the two episode now, in fact finished watching the whole first season already. These next two better be damn good as from the last few episodes, the bar has definitely been raised. After such a huge wait, if Sunrise don’t pull this off right, we could be looking at another sunrise train wreck D:
