So yesterday, I found myself able to have a half day off at my college so I could go to the Ucas Higher Education Convention in the hopeful prospects to learn more about University life and also to check out the different Universities by their representatives that they sent. I also found myself completely weighed down by two heavy bags of prospectuses of which the contents are featured below.

Hopefully, at other conventions *cough*London Expo in May*cough*, I can walk away with this much free stuff.
My aims were for Universities which offered Aerospace Engineering courses so the Universities I went and found out more about a large majority. The way the British University Application process goes, now mostly with UCAS, is that we are only allowed to apply to 6 Universities. So far, I’ve only seriously considered five Universities so far, as follows:
- Loughborough
- Imperial
- Queen Mary’s
- City
- Bristol
At the moment, Loughborough is my top choice and Queen Mary’s is my safety although I would loath it if it was the only one I was accepted into because it is so near to where I live, I probably wouldn’t be bothered to move from home. The others are further away (though City and Imperial are still in London) so I would probably moving out then; an experience I am happily anticipating. The actual process of sending out applications ends about September and I would be expected to get all it all sorted by then, lest I be forced to take a gap year or even go into employment during that time :O Then in November, interviews would happen and then after that, it’s just a waiting game for the acceptance or rejection letters. Hopefully, it won’t be that bad.
On a side note, this was the first convention I have ever been to. The next I have planned is the London Expo coming up in May, at the Excel Centre which is just a 30 minute walk from my house so I will definitely be there. Hopefully, that will be fun as well. XD

hey… were u at the convention yesterday at angels? Czo so was i! got lots of free stuff and of course… prospectuses lol.
Yuh, I picked up so much, it was really straining just carrying them all back home. =P
There were so many and I picked up more than I needed… I mapped out which ones I needed and then I picked up any prospectuses I liked the look of as well, but in the end, it just meant more things for me to carry XD
I was thinking you might be there RK, I mean with the amount of people in queue and in the centre there was a high chance everyone in the general area of London and more our age was there…
Damn, that was our chance to meet! and we missed it
Yeah, but in truth I only was told about the Fair one day before hand. I don’t remember signing up but I was on the list of people who asked for it in due time and were therefore allowed to go. It all worked out pretty fine actually =P
Would have been cool though if we did XD
