Scans for new Melty Blood game, called Actress Again (kinda lame name… but whatever) came out today. The name apart, I am quite excited as I love Melty Blood and the new game looks quite nice indeed with some new characters as well. It comes out in arcades in Spring 2008 (3-4 months away) apparently and I hope we can get a port or something sometime after…
So marks the first MusicRun (tm) ranking. As an music lover, I pretty much pick up anything as it turns up, especially if it is anime. A few days back, I got a damn huge chunk of Music from Nipponsei and noting how long ago I did a music post, I think I will do one now. In a monthly segment or something similar. So rankings and quick review of the new music pumped out this week.
I have only noticed recently that the second season of Genshiken has come out. Man, have I been living under a rock. Even more so because i have yet to watch the first season. Well, even though I have read the manga and thoroughly enjoyed it, I wasn’t going to watch the second season without the first, so i marathon-watched it today at the expense of the Chemistry coursework I was to do.
…after being so used to subs. Today, I sat down and watched one and a half hours of dubs, (Fullmetal Alchemist, Escaflowne and Bleach) and I couldn’t help but keep thinking, ‘Where are the subtitles!?’ I guess Fansubs have spoiled me and I have become audibly lazy and I really had to pay attention to actually hear what they were saying.

#1 reason to watch: Mao-neesan!!
First post for this season from me. The first thing I watched of this season was Kimikiss and me being a sap like I am and possibly manned out from Gurren Lagann of the previous season but I really enjoyed it.
It took me a whole hour train journey through Central London and a 2 hour search through a park to which we had actually passed them at the beginning, but I have finally participated in an actual American Football team’s practice. It is quite annoying how the two London teams are nowhere near my part of London though D: However after that session, no amount of distance will stop me from trying my hardest to make starting Lineman for the London Blitz. This would be my only year of chance before I hopefully make it into Loughborough University and try for the Aces instead. One has to think whether my University choices were because of how good the courses were or whether it had an American Football team. =P
Yes, it is ones of these things again. Anime Expo time again here in London, and I popped down the road to the convention centre and had myself in to the stalls.
Firstly, this was one of larger manga buys ever rivalling when I bought pretty much all of Negima at once. The full list is: vol 2-4 Fruits Basket, vol 16-18 Bleach, vol 6 D.Gray-Man, vol 1 Fullmetal Alchemist, vol 1, 3-4, 7-8 Busou Renkin, vol 6-7 DearS and a DearS offical Fan Book.
First, i must apologise for being away from anime blogging for so long. It is not because I have given up anime or the sort, I can tell you that but school (the bane of any internet user) set in and with this year being my last until University, I have been busy getting my act together and that is eating up a lot of my time which i would normally use for blogging has been filled up.
Also, a boon this year as finally, after much work last year, I have finally set up an american football team in a british school and the work to set this up for this year and coaching and teaching others, has cut my time somewhat, but thankfully, the workload has now steadied itself.
I have been keeping on track with the new Winter season even though not with as much entusiasm as when it was the Summer season but after watching most of the season’s new shows, I am quite happy with the lineup and hope to blog some of the more notable shows I enjoyed.
Tommorow is also the start of the London Anime Expo and I hope to go and pick myself up quite a bit of manga (specifically DearS and Bleach) and possibly get some cosplay-spotting done. Unfortunately, I have no plans for another Gundam figure this time as I still have my Strike Noir in a box awaiting completion. =P
