April’s fools y’all. The japanese go all out… or at least the eroge companies do anyways. Personal favourite is Type Moon’s wrestling federation. I particularly support the MWE. Akiha-sama AND Rider!
We’re getting coverage everywhere, and a good extensive post on what is happening from Canned Dogs.
Personally, memorable funnies are Type Moon’s wrestling site, OverFlow (Taisuke Days), Circus (DCII BL ver.) and Propeller’s Cat.
LOLZ!!
Side Note: Most Probably these links will all be redundant/broken/gone by tomorrow so check them now!
EDIT: Wait, Yahoo Japan just won the whole internet!
Hey, you know ‘Random Curiosity’. Scary amount of episodes summarized quickly but what really gets most people is all those lovely screenshots that are uploaded to the site, and they all lead to a larger version. Man, that takes work, care and effort.
I had once toyed around the idea of a plugin to generate all the image codes in small thumbnails all leading to a directed folder. It seems wordpress 2.5 beat me to it though with the new Gallery feature already in the packet. Let me walk you through it.

w00t. A stable version of worpress 2.5 is out.. I’ve already got it up on my testblog and will update this place at some point later. Trying it out, it is pretty cool and I love the new admin user interface. With the release of 2.5, I think it is high time I get back in the game of design work. I’ve been out for too long. May interfere with the meager updating of this blog though. =P
A lot of final episode about. I’ll probably blog those later…
EDIT: Done and over with… most painless upgrade of wordpress ever. I even think the admin panel works faster… managing a post has never been as easy.

This is great. I am in elation. Recently, I discovered this gem of a manga from a friend’s recomendation and instantly fell in love with the story, the characters and the artwork. And now, I hear news of an anime adaptation. Totali and Aroduc have some coverage on the previews, Aroduc even uploaded the content to youtube for your viewing pleasure. Check it out!
From what I can gather, it looks to be quite similar in style to Negima! Although personally, I didn’t like the adaptation, I still have hopes for Shina Dark and know it is at least going to look great. What? It’s SHAFT! XD
Might be an whole series or more likely some OVAs. Whatever the case, I ca’t qait!

For a minute there, I thought I opened something in my ero-folder… Turns out it was just some Persona Trinity Soul. The latest episode rolls out a new feature which I call ‘pornophonics’, the newest installment in your eechi peripherals almost up there with Kleenex. Pornophonics- you know something has it i you can shut off the visuals and it sounds like pr0n whatever way you try to interpret it. Hm, I wonder what this episode would have sounded like in surround sound. The last time I came across this phenomenon was Harry Potter - Goblet of Fire PS2 game… Man, that was creepy… Every single time you went up a ledge!
Seriously though, Persona Trinity Soul is rocking my soul, unlike H2O. Action is great, story is intriguing, characters look good and I want to find out what the fuck is going on so much. I don’t know what’s going on anymore. What is up with the shadow-tagging/pulling/stripping? How ero is it, apart from the name? From what Kanaru is showing us, it might well be what our minds in the gutter are imagining. Why won’t ero stop haunting me in my ‘safe’ anime? T___T
Speaking of the Whore, what is up with her? She is literally begging for it. The bit on the stairs with Shin comes particularly to mind. And she keeps on going back to those gangs of guys, who seems really creepy and hormonal, who like to watch her as she gets her thing on. Seriously, I didn’t pick up and ero-anime by accident right? It’s just tried packing in 10 episodes of lead up right?
Damn, I take a break from Rin goodness and Archer Awesomeness and this is what I get… I can’t wait for the next episode! XD I believe there are only 2 or so more episodes left so I hope it all gets explained by then. Because it would suck balls if it did not.

It has happened. We were ready to wait ages for this to come out and it has come out. Ever since the Fate route patch was released, we knew progress was happening. Most, like I, did not imagine in our wildest dreams that it would come out so fast. Up to the Unlimited Blade Works path is done and translated. Not only that, the option has now been added to add the voices from your copy of Realta Nua and you dont have to run it under AppLocale. This is wonderous. This is marvelous. I have never been so giddy and happy. =P
*Starts Up Fate Stay Night!*

I laughed when the bike caught fire. From the last episode, I did imagine something big was to happen from the impromptu bike ride but I didn’t expect it to happen right at the beginning of the episode. I am still unsure why they were still unhurt.

One thing I noted from the episode was the animation. At time, they used the watercolor effect on some key scenes and it looked stunning. I love their style and the animation has already been top notch and consistent so far.

There was a lot of development between Shin’ichirou and Hiromi, and I was okay with that. The above scene just rose the emotional tension of the show that much higher. This however was ruined by the unexplained ‘yeah, the mother lied…’ Why would you lie about such a thing, honestly. The relationship barriers of sibling-hood is now gone, and I can’t wait to see how it develops. I feel it weird how the situation in the household has changed so suddenly, with Hiromi getting treated better now.

Nobuse is an upstanding best mate. He still sticks up for Shin’ichiro.I hate his situation, but I hate how it was all left hanging from the last episode. Shin’ichirou just pretending it never happened was a big cop out. I sincerely hope that when they touch back on the Shin’ichirou-Aiko-Nobuse thing, they will do it as well. I feel a little despondent as I wanted some resolution on that.

I feel pity for Noe now. Things were really looking up for her. Things were developing way too well and conveniently with Shin’ichirou all for it to be shattered by him hugging Hiromi. This is turning out to be an extremely enjoyable watch for me this season even though some major issues were just skimmed over with little mention. Nonetheless, I eagerly await the next episode!

There will be a Gurren Lagann Movie according to a number of my usual haunts which I will source at the end. The news will officially be released in the next issue of New Type. This will be epic, me thinks. I cannot wait.

I am confused. Honestly speaking, this should not be interesting. A medieval-like era story with no sword or wicked-shit magic and where the main plot points involve trading and economics. I never took economics for the sole reason I just didn’t want to because of an extreme lack of interest. I therefore assume, that the characterizations is what sells this show to me. Particularly Horo. I love her playful attitude and at the same time, her always in control attitude. Even when she seems thrown for a loop like when her and Lawrence are escaping through the sewers is a nice facet of her character.

The curse of a really good voicing job is that it follows you everywhere. When I first heard Lawrence, I couln’t stop thinking of Lelouch from Code Geass but I have gotten past that point now and Lawrence has really come into his own. The first few episodes, I didn’t think so highly of him but my opinion of him has grown considerably better since. Fun moments like the above really add character to Lawrence and the show really benefits from that. I may say that the interplay between Lawrence and Horo is what draws me in. Not what they talk about but how. I love the interplay between them.

As to the new character, Nora. I like her. A lot better than Chloe. I want to see where this part of the story is going as there seem to be some unknown story about Nora at the moment that I am dying to find out about. I love how the dynamic between Horo and Lawrence has changed dramatically with her appearance. A jealous Horo is quite fun.
On the grounds of pointless plot predictions, I guess that Nora is harboring werewolf sheep… but that sound as stupid as how bad the animation quality can get. My one qualm with this show is the inconsistency in its artwork. At times, it is decent and others just shit. I will be looking forward to more though

It was inevitable but I assumed it would happen sooner, but I have become addicted to Visual Novels. Through a culmination of a lull in manga addiction, fan fiction and a general lack of wanting to work at all, I started my first novel since I finished Tsukihime. I started with a copy of ‘Sagara Family’ (an english port) which I borrowed from a friend and haven’t been able to do anything else since.
Every spare bit of time I had went to going through this visual novel. And when I was done, I went through it again trying to obtain a different route. It was n addiction not just to play though the storylines but for 100% completion. I have never felt a need to want to complete something completely to 100% before but this is what kept me playing. In the end after unlocking the special end storyline, I was at about 70-80% complete with the majority of what wasn’t gone through yet were storylines from the loli character route which I forget the name to. At this point, it had been a couple of days and actual school work that should have been completed wasn’t.
I learnt a bit about myself from this. I was always a bit skeptical of believing how addictive visual novels could be. I played through Tsukihime more for being a fan of the franchise than anything else and I wanted to see it in its original form. But Tsukihime never completely forced me to want to complete it fully. To this day I still haven’t completed the Kohaku route I so wanted to. And as for ‘Sagara Family’ as well, I believe I will never go further now that I have stopped playing them.
I have a few more borrowed but my instincts were telling me to actually be cautious of these and go through them slowly and when I actually have time to spare. Open Book season for chemistry students started this Wednesday and I felt it was prudent 3 days into my 2 week deadline that I should actually get to work. Starting a new game or trying to complete the last will be murder on my grades. I’ll get to them at some point.
Plus, I haven’t watched anime for days now. I miss those. I’ll probably get back to actual anime blogging on burning the backlog for the time I was distracted. =P
