This is what sold it for me:
Alto: Let me pilot a Valkyrie.
Ozma: (Grins) (Punches) You think you can just ask!? Get him out of here!
That was awesome! Finally someone has the right idea not to let random kids onto their amazing hardware without good reason. Sadly he was let in by episode 3. It could have been fun if he had actually joined the Military but they seem to be really slow at actually getting to an attack. The best thing about this show really is the mech fights and for once, I thought the CGI used in the show was not glaringly ugly, but fluid and spectacular looking.
Of course the other draw of the show is the cute Renka and the lovely Sheryl… I need not say more on that. XD
I so need more of this. T_____T

Well, as Luca and Mikhail have both pointed out, Alto IS in flight school and has shown some talent with the VF-25. And they do have to replace Graham somehow, which means that given that Alto knows a bit about the Vajra as a witness AND is in flight school in order to (presumably) join the military - especially with how he seems to have collected a lot of trivia on the Valkyries, several contractors like SMS, and general scuttlebutt… it only makes sense to offer him a chance to formally join, since the military’s trying to grab him anyways.
wait wait wait… what’s going on here?
A macross F post… without a screenshot of Sheryl’s boobs? There’s obviously something fundamentally wrong here!
Only joking, but yeah that punch really did it
I am saving up for a post of its own about it later XD
Deranged: I loved how they pointed out the comparison between the buns and Sheryl’s cleavage there, with the rather blatant camera-work. Both round, and manmade. And pointy.
lol.. why ruin the whole of my next post XD
That was utterly hilarious… what a way to diffuse a situation…
Deranged: The worst part is Ranka didn’t realize it.. but Sheryl and Alto got it right away, and her innocence in how she presented the buns combined with the cause of the previous fight did the trick. Sheryl’s not a complete bitch… and that was enough to break the fight up. Still, I think the fact that Sheryl likes what she sees in Ranka as far as the sweet young girl is part of what did it; she was just so earnest that she had to let the fight go. Well, that and she probably acknowledges the resemblance… as she and Alto are apparently far dirtier-minded people than anyone but the person who did the storyboard.
To whoever did that storyboarding and scripting, I salute you! A send-off to Focker ogling a girl’s legs that was.
