Who watched and loved Shugo Chara. I did. I DID! I had at one point in this during the last week, probably while I was under some anesthetics having a teeth removed that I have been watching a lot of love comedies and action shows. Where was the girl-ier shows my friends used to berate me about! So I thought I would correct that. I patted myself on the shoulder for that awesome move. XD
As a DearS Fanboy and lover of the works of Peach-Pit (to which I adore the art style and character driven plots), it was actually a surprise for me to find out that Shugo Chara was their work. This will teach me for falling out of my manga craze… which reminds me, I should read the rest of Zombie Loan and Rozen Maiden (and watch the anime as well, that would probably help).
I heard tell of Shugo Chara peripherally during its run but haven’t put any thought to it for some reason until just quite recently when I had a little gander at Hinano’s posts on the subject and was intrigued. An episode later I was hooked and it is only school and sports commitments stopping me from watching all available in one sitting. I do have to read the manga for this, loving Peach-Pit, and all… maybe even *gasp* buying it…
From what i have seen so far (about five episodes), this is shaping up to be a thoroughly enjoyable show with a good emphasis on the characters. I do like Amu, and her Chara… not to mention everytime her personality just switches due to them, which always comes off as hilarious. The Guardians is a very weird system to be implemented in Elementary school in my opinion but I am rolling with it, and the all of them are great people. I like Nadeshiko’s violent chara change and Tadase with his super arrogant one.
Well, these are my initial thoughts. I still have over 20 episodes to watch through… but I am faithful that it will be a fun ride.
*watches as much Shugo Chara before he passes out. Also ponders about watching Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha*
And before I go, “Kyaa! So Cool and Spicy!”
