Kara No Kyoukai The Garden of Sinners 01

This just made my year! And there is even more coming! I can’t believe it has been since the December of 06 that I have been waiting for this moment and it lived up to every agonising moment I waited for it. I was tempted to actually read some of the novel in the interim but I didn’t, wanting to go into this series of films without any preconceived notions which may have been why I was completely blown away by this. The story was good and so intriguing I was literally on the edge of my seat. I want to know some more about these characters and the mysteries surrounding them.

I think what definitely made the whole thing was Shiki. Like Tsukihime’s Shiki, she too seems to have the Eyes of Death Perception, but here in the movie it looks all the more amazing with the dazzling glowing lines. The way she fought as well was so fluid and graceful perfectly animated. In fact, the whole of the animation on the movie was absolutely top notch.

The interplay between Shiki and Kokutou was wonderful. I like the chemistry between the two really. Shiki is also a rare Tsundere that I actually like. This is by far turning out even better than I expected and from the looks of what is coming, it looks to get even better! I cannot wait!

Ryogi has everything I want in a TYPE-MOON girl; badass killing abilities and a tsundere to boot :D

First time visiting your site/blog. (I just saw the first ep and was googling around)

Awesome…. but I’m a bit lost. Ive not read any TYPE MOON work, and I only saw the Tsukihime anime, which wasn’t too bad (wasn’t too good either)….

Kokutou looks like the Shiki from Tsukihime?? and the Shiki here is a doll??

Can’t wait for the next ep though.

I’d definitely buy this if they released it on subbed DVD.

There is no such thing as a tsukihime anime O.o >.>. Read the visual novel (helpfully translated by mirrormoon) and you will forget there was ever that blasphemy of a show called shingentsukan
