Yeah, I took a day off yesterday… so sue me.

I have recently rediscovered something. What with feeling despondent with some of the poor offerings we get every season or during slumps for shows that are otherwise pretty good, I found myself missing the good old days getting back into anime and the old classics. Then the thought struck me, why can’t I just got back for a while.

So I am going back to my root, and digging further to see what gems I can dig up. I can go back to the shows that got me in; Escaflowne, Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon, Tekkaman Blade, Outlaw Star… All that fun stuff that had me wanting so much more. Perhaps it was some sort of vanity stopping me from going back and watching these older shows but some of he even older ones are even now starting to interest me. What looked off and weird before shouldn’t matter because some of these sound like gold.

I want to see the original Macross, I want to seeing Giant Robo, I want to see Bubblegum Crisis, I want to see all the classics that got the generation just slightly ahead of me into it.

While I have the utmost anticipation for the future of Anime, I am so excited to delve into the past of anime. I think I will start with Escaflowne, Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing. They were pretty much what got me started into Anime. Why not go full circle.
