It took me a whole hour train journey through Central London and a 2 hour search through a park to which we had actually passed them at the beginning, but I have finally participated in an actual American Football team’s practice. It is quite annoying how the two London teams are nowhere near my part of London though D: However after that session, no amount of distance will stop me from trying my hardest to make starting Lineman for the London Blitz. This would be my only year of chance before I hopefully make it into Loughborough University and try for the Aces instead. One has to think whether my University choices were because of how good the courses were or whether it had an American Football team. =P

More Shopping And ART!!!
Spurned on by posts from RunningKid, I too thought, ‘Hey, I can go outside during the summer as well, going into London and do some shopping like I used to…’ Well, I did go outside but I just popped out to Illford closer to the outskirts of London. But I sniffed out a Waterstones and quickly found the manga. I’ve found myself buying less manga recently which worries me so I bought another 6; vol. 13-14 of Negima (yay!) and vol. 1-4 of Rurouni Kenshin (‘cause it’s a great classic and they didn’t have vol. 2 of Fruits Basket and yet had all the rest up to 14 :S ). A good haul that cost me less than expected.
However, manga wasn’t the only reason I was out about in the sun (even though it was all overcast, and it even rained… stupid British weather), as I made way to an art store that saw me through my graphic design days, and took the plunge and got me a traditional nib dip pen and ink.
I’ve been drawing for a while but just haven’t shown off anything really except the odd thing or two that I inked half-assedly. Well, I’m am going to try and improve now and get some artwork done. Sadly this may take me a while, as seen above, I will need some practise with the pen to actually get a good effect. (strangely enough I worked upwards on the page :S )
Above is one of my best works which is still sadly pencil. From the stage of getting this inked and scanned is my biggest roadblock at the moment, but I’m working on it and hopefully, I can grow as an artist past the drawing some pretty pictures stage. Making a web comic/manga of my own would be marvellous. Here’s hoping XD

It was something that could make me have to give up Anime for the next year: my grades…
Today was the results release day for all A-Level exams. After doing an hour of charity collecting in the morning, I then rushed home to then rush over to my school to pick up my results. I had promised myself if these results were bad, I would have to change my habits i.e. cut down vastly on Anime and actually work.
Luckily for me, I won’t have to do such a despicable thing… XD
Overall Results:
Maths - A
Chemistry - B
Physics - B
Cisco - Achieved CCNA1
It may not have been as good as I wanted but this was a lot better than what I feared when I actually took these exams. Chemistry is fine at a B, but I need to pull up my physics grade to a strong A by the end of A2 examination or my University plans could crash and burn. But apart from that, I am totally in the clear! XD
Which means after some fretting, I can get back to my Anime-obsessing ways… I so need to catch up with my backlog for that to work though… Hm, I have a few episodes of School Days I haven’t watched yet…

I am a failure.
Seriously though, it was July when I last posted and now it is August. I have failed at a rudimentary blogging criteria; to regularly post. I can say a lot of things (one actually being that I have not really been keeping up with anime in the last month and am just now starting to work my way through the back log) but I’m not going to use the statement I just wrote to excuse myself. I’ll use another reason.
I don’t know how many of you have actually read the about box which resides at the top of the sidebar, and how many of you wonder who Benneh is, considering the only authors who have written for this site have been myself. Benneh is my coding friend who has volunteered (been coerced to, some say) to help me in this little website project of mine (including the blog).
Our plans were to make some cool websites, maybe some wordpress themes, etc. So to the actual point of the long preamble, we spent the better part of last month creating our first full design for a design contest: specifically the sandbox design contest.
What I liked about this project was that it was purely design, and most of the coding work was laid out quite finely already. All we needed to do was produce a css and image add on design which was excellent for our first project. We only entered one design but it took a lot of work and thought. I like it and I hope we get a good standing.
Well, I hope that is at least an adequate reason why I have been gone for most of the month, and hope none of you will blame it on getting back into Warhammer 40,000. Nor will any of you expect to see some posts on a newly done Tau hunter cadre or any sort…
Seriously though, I hope to get back into the rhythm, and start fully blogging again. We sort of need to pick up the slack since the whole odex thing I guess… *catches up with some Gurren Lagann*
Note: don’t expect me to post so soon… I’m going on a shopping excursion today where i may or may not be picking up manga or dwarves.

Hell Yes! It is Over!
Oh thank the Lord, the exam season is over. One of the most bothersome time of the year to me ever. To me however, it is not the actual exams themselves that worry me, it is the long time waiting and the ever too long exams. Unfortunately there was also half-term break in the middle of this time so i had a whole week with nothing to do. Now, I being the lazy sod that I am did nothing during that time, when through an exam week, I probably would have done at least a practise test but no.
It didn’t really seem to affect my game until my very final set of exams actually; Physics. It was my best subject but I guess my usual plan of no revision broke down after spending three weeks not thinking about it. If I was given a physics exam during the time I was taught, I would have aced it but I found myself blanking out the whole entire exam, for pretty much three hours. Argh…. Sadly, I may need to resit Physics, which has surprised me after how well the Chemistry turned out for me (but I got away with that by having to teach the entire syllabus to someone else who was worse off than I was).
But as my philosophy goes, it is over and done. Nothing I can do about it but try better, and possibly actually revising Physics. But as it is, AS levels are over, just now nice introductions to A2’s with some CV and UCAS work so I am hoping to have some good ample time to get to blogging again (and get back to gunpla: my Strike Noir arrived last week XD ). So yeah, hope to be back in the business…
Also, have been reading a lot of webcomics recently. That has given me an idea… Hm, but with how lazy and easily distracted I am, that idea would probably fall through as well XD
Yeah, you read that right. A 1500 play count which is my personal best now beating my old for the Air Gear OP which I reached 400 with once. It might be conceivable to believe that I am so behind in checking out some new music because I’ve been wasting (read: enjoying) 1500 plays of this one track, being the Opening for the H-Game, Nursery Rhyme (both words I find difficult to spell >_< ) which I had discovered on watch a Code Geass MAD, which I pointed out before.
I have let my friends listen to this track at one point and one got violent headaches and swore that he was quite close to bleeding out his ears, and the general consensus is just that it feels so happy. Maybe it is just because all my friends seem to be rockers but I find that weird, as I love a huge range of music from Apocalyptica to Yui. Although, maybe it is only the fact I am weird that way that the only reason I don’t bleed out of my ears at the sheer happiness of this song, repeated 1500 fold, well 1504 now as I finish writing this post.

Better get down to more music at some point. The new Beat Crusaders single was released and I’ve been looking forward to that…
So yesterday, I found myself able to have a half day off at my college so I could go to the Ucas Higher Education Convention in the hopeful prospects to learn more about University life and also to check out the different Universities by their representatives that they sent. I also found myself completely weighed down by two heavy bags of prospectuses of which the contents are featured below.
Hopefully, at other conventions *cough*London Expo in May*cough*, I can walk away with this much free stuff.
