This isn’t Anime. That’s right… I sinned! Instead of watching Evangelion 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone which I recently picked up, I instead went outside into the nice sunny outdoors (it wasn’t raining today for once, pretty odd) to transverse to a indoor location to watch a Movie. That’s right, I sinned and it was good. Very good!
I remember talking a while back about being a fan of SciFi a while back in relation to Macross Frontier, and talking a bit about one of the biggest pulls of the genre for me was fine attention to mechanical detail and imaginative works. Iron Man delivered all of that to me as well. The suit was done so well, the armour moving plates to accommodate different working parts and Jarvis, the funniest and coolest AI with holographic interface computer system ever. I so want that is real life.
I did hear some complaints of bad acting but who can concentrate on that when Iron Man in all his mecha glory is being badass on screen. My favourite part being when he is caught by his assistant in his Iron Man Suit, and he retorts, ‘Well, you have caught me doing worse things…’ to which I completely cracked up. I like the AI and the bots working in his private lab. Who needs Haro’s when these were so much cooler and funnier, what with the putting out a non existent fire.
Iron Man has always been my favourite Marvel-verse Super Hero. He is somewhat like the Batman of Marvel, a hero with no outright powers at all, using technology to bring the edge up and I always loved that idea since I could maybe identify with that more. I loved Iron Man more because of the mechanical aspects. Things like that have always intrigued me. Growing up, I loved the Megazords of Power Rangers (I nearly had them all!) and Transformers (the best part was getting it working and transforming it without instruction) and when I first came across Gundam Wing in my Youth I was blown away. I guess there was the birth of a Mech Anime fan.
In all, this movie was fantastic and deserves multiple viewings which is what I plan to do… This has also made me really want to build some more Gunpla, especially a Perfect Grade which was what I was thinking about as the new Iron Man suit was tested in the movie, with the armour flaps moving to expose the interworking parts… I need a perfect grade so badly now… I will just have to content myself making my master grade Stike Noir…

While I am at it, I so desperately want this figure… It is damn expensive but would be so worth it…

So I caught by Impz on IRC… he held me down and would do bad things to me if I didn’t check out this Anime Blog Awards. I already had, and he ‘persuaded’ me to actually participate. So I did.
So check it out if you haven’t already. I’m sure most anime bloggers have already been spammed by Impz. I even get a mention in the FAQ. XD
Also, yes, I am too lazy to post. Yes, I do have a lot of back log to post about. Yes, I haven’t been doing any of my real life stuff either. Been enjoying Koukou Debut. Yay, shoujo manga!
Note: Impz was quite polite about the whole thing actually… I couldn’t really say no.

Before this day is out, I would like to put the spotlight on two of the funniest april fools around the english blogosphere. First up is Mr Choo. I lol’d alot, there was three in total.
Mirai in her own eroge by NitroPlus.
Acquiring of more stuff.
Aquisistion by Megatokyo.
Much better than last year. XD I would so want that eroge!

As you know the whole ABC thing was a hoax… elaborate might I add. I had some lols from that but even more when I read DS’s report on the matter. This is epic! I lol’d. I lol’d hard!

Well, this is the end of one of the funniest days ever! Can’t wait until next year.

April’s fools y’all. The japanese go all out… or at least the eroge companies do anyways. Personal favourite is Type Moon’s wrestling federation. I particularly support the MWE. Akiha-sama AND Rider!
We’re getting coverage everywhere, and a good extensive post on what is happening from Canned Dogs.
Personally, memorable funnies are Type Moon’s wrestling site, OverFlow (Taisuke Days), Circus (DCII BL ver.) and Propeller’s Cat.
LOLZ!!
Side Note: Most Probably these links will all be redundant/broken/gone by tomorrow so check them now!
EDIT: Wait, Yahoo Japan just won the whole internet!

It was inevitable but I assumed it would happen sooner, but I have become addicted to Visual Novels. Through a culmination of a lull in manga addiction, fan fiction and a general lack of wanting to work at all, I started my first novel since I finished Tsukihime. I started with a copy of ‘Sagara Family’ (an english port) which I borrowed from a friend and haven’t been able to do anything else since.
Every spare bit of time I had went to going through this visual novel. And when I was done, I went through it again trying to obtain a different route. It was n addiction not just to play though the storylines but for 100% completion. I have never felt a need to want to complete something completely to 100% before but this is what kept me playing. In the end after unlocking the special end storyline, I was at about 70-80% complete with the majority of what wasn’t gone through yet were storylines from the loli character route which I forget the name to. At this point, it had been a couple of days and actual school work that should have been completed wasn’t.
I learnt a bit about myself from this. I was always a bit skeptical of believing how addictive visual novels could be. I played through Tsukihime more for being a fan of the franchise than anything else and I wanted to see it in its original form. But Tsukihime never completely forced me to want to complete it fully. To this day I still haven’t completed the Kohaku route I so wanted to. And as for ‘Sagara Family’ as well, I believe I will never go further now that I have stopped playing them.
I have a few more borrowed but my instincts were telling me to actually be cautious of these and go through them slowly and when I actually have time to spare. Open Book season for chemistry students started this Wednesday and I felt it was prudent 3 days into my 2 week deadline that I should actually get to work. Starting a new game or trying to complete the last will be murder on my grades. I’ll get to them at some point.
Plus, I haven’t watched anime for days now. I miss those. I’ll probably get back to actual anime blogging on burning the backlog for the time I was distracted. =P
…but a Vocaloid net meme is fine too. Link only because You tube is being a bitch with this site…
So the story goes, I was browsing the Intarweb as I usually do, because I am a recluse and this is my life, when I came upon a link to Vocaloid and remembered, ‘hey with the new voices out, there should be new songs out right?’ Mistake number one.
I hunted around youtube and got addicted to it all over again and am in the process of harvesting all the vocaloid songs. My thirst could not be quenched and I went looking for more to which I found this video. Mistake number Two.
On finishing said awesomeness, I pressed replay. Mistake number three, four, five, six… n.
I might be a little late on this fad but I am now addicted to this song… I am pulling my hair out trying to find an mp3 of the vocaloid version somewhere out there… All I got is the original which kinda actually sucks.
So yeah, I am addicted to something else again. Most probably anime will cease to exist for me, and I probably won’t watch another episode unless something near enough pornographic comes out… Hey, Rosario to Vampire episode 7 came out… Oh wait!

Nothing something as major as Anime to add to the list, but recently I have been addicted to this flash game which I found via A Geek By Any Other Name so I know where to send my curses. The game is great. Equipped with a simple bike and a genki attitude, you crash into Target-kun flinging him as far as you can where the various people he can crash into will affect his path. With a good basic understanding of the game, it is quite common for Target-kun to travel a whole kilometer this way. I say the best thing would be to try it yourself.

I’ve spent 6 hours on this game already and have seemed to hit a problem getting my score any higher than it is already, 6119.60 m, with times when Target-kun was going at 90 m/s (324 km/hr 0_0) and getting altitudes of 200 m above the visible skyline. A good kilometer of this was thanks to a special achieved off the character which usually completely stops Target-kun which was followed up by the exact same special. I want to get more, but I can’t seem to get any further. I so want over 9000!
Maybe I should be actually doing some work or catching up in my backlog… Or I could try again to beat this score!

As a proud Brit, I would gladly take up this flag. The creator says, ‘It represents shouting “UNION!” and joining together; kicking reason to the curb and doing the impossible; fighting the power, and piercing the heavens.’ I assume it is a mistake of the Telegraph to say union instead of unification.
All too hilarious, from the website of the crappiest of our broadsheets. Also, I found it through Derailed By Darry. Don’t know what is more funny, the whole situation or the fact that the Gurren Flag won the vote at 55%.
PS. Oh god, the Telegraph is extreamly crappy but this is quite bad indeed with no research done into it by the looks of it. Calling this a dragon for one thing, to which a commenter stated ‘If the top-voted design tells us anything, it is a fitting emblem of the dominance of the Devil in this once wonderful Christian country.’ =_= As a confirmed and practising Christian, I saw nothing wrong with it and am thinking this commenter has looked way too deeply into it.
PPS. Also, as a Royal Naval Reserve with quite a lot of backing, I am appalled to see a British journalist mistakenly calling it the Union Jack when it is not flying from the mast of a boat. It’s the Union Flag.

…after being so used to subs. Today, I sat down and watched one and a half hours of dubs, (Fullmetal Alchemist, Escaflowne and Bleach) and I couldn’t help but keep thinking, ‘Where are the subtitles!?’ I guess Fansubs have spoiled me and I have become audibly lazy and I really had to pay attention to actually hear what they were saying.
